Job Title: Accountant/Financial Officer

Location: Takoradi or Tema, Ghana
Reports To: Managing Director / Chief Operations Officer

Job Description

The Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and select administrative duties in both the Tema and Takoradi offices. This role ensures the company remains compliant with financial regulations, maintains strong internal controls, and supports effective office management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Oversight

  • Lead all core accounting activities, including accounts receivable/payable,

  • payroll, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting.

  • Develop and enforce financial control policies and procedures.

2. Compliance & Coordination

  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) tax codes and statutory obligations.

  • Prepare financial statements and assist with external audits.

3. Administrative Support & Supervision

  • Supervise office administrative staff and daily operations.

  • Support procurement, logistics, and office resource management.

  • Ensure records and administrative systems are updated and aligned with company protocols.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in accounting systems such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Sage.

  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of Ghanaian tax regulations and compliance.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • High attention to detail and professional integrity.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in finance and administration roles.

  • Experience working in multi-office environments is an advantage.
