  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports including findings, recommendations, compliance status, valuations, and risk assessments.

  • Liaise with clients (shipowners, insurers, port authorities) to coordinate surveys and communicate technical findings.

  • Ensure that all surveying and engineering activities meet applicable safety, regulatory, and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with other company divisions (e.g. safety engineering, risk management, valuation) to deliver integrated technical services.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Naval Architecture, or a closely related maritime / engineering discipline.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills — capable of identifying defects, evaluating risks, and making reliable recommendations.

  • Strong report-writing and documentation skills; ability to produce clear, comprehensive technical reports for clients and insurers.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills — to liaise with clients, regulators, port authorities, insurers, and internal staff.

  • Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical practices.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with insurance-related vessel surveys, valuations, loss-adjusting, or claims assessment.

  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders — shipowners, insurers, port authorities, and clients — and manage multiple assignments concurrently.

  • Willingness to travel, inspect vessels (ports, shipyards, docks), and work to tight schedules.
